Our Teachers: Our dedicated teachers are drawn from Vietnamese, Chinese, Sri Lankan, and Anglo Australian ethnic groups from the Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. All our teachers posses a sound knowledge of Buddhism and skills sufficient for them to be a volunteer teacher to primary school children.
They must also have a current Blue Card issued by the Public Safety Business Agency.
Becoming a volunteer teacher
No prior teaching experience or teaching qualification is required. Training will be provided, including school visits and classroom observations.
All we require is that you -
like working with children
are able to communicate in English
are a Buddhist and a member/suporter of a Buddhist Organisation
are available to teach at least for 30 minutes per week during school hours
